Virtual tutors will work with groups of up to 3 students virtually during the early evening hours. In addition they will be expected to check in briefly with parents at least two times over the course of the program. Please see below for a sketch of the schedule and expected time commitment. Tutoring would begin the week of April 28 2025 or sooner if applicants were available and students were lined up. A twohour training session would be held prior to tutoring start and at a mutually agreed upon time.Tutoring session would be: Tuesday/Thursday OR Monday/Wednesday5:00 PM 5:35 PM (Session I)5:40 PM 6:15 PM (Session II)6:20 PM 6:55 PM (Session III)Qualifications:MA DESE licensed educatorCurrently teaching or coaching literacy at the school in which tutoring is needed (Arnone Downey or Raymond).Strong understanding of the science of reading.Consistently available two days a week (see above draft schedule) beginning the week of April 7 2025.Responsibilities:Virtually provide literacy tutoring to three groups of up to 3 students each during the three sessions noted abovePrepare for lessons and check in with parents/guardians on student progress.Implement preprogram assessment postprogram assessment and progress monitoringCompensation: 6 hours/week at the contractual rate of $39.70/hour; one lead teacher tutor and be responsible for payroll etc. at each school will receive an additional 2 hours each week. All training is also paid at the contractual rate.Funding Source: Local
