DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities
- Build & Enhance Coherent brand name and develop strong customer relationships in the East Coast region
- Ensure product roadmaps are aligned with customers and endusers
- Manage daytoday business: backlog shipments and inventory to ensure Coherent meets the customers requirements and Coherent meets their Quarterly revenue targets
- Sales Development Identifies pursues and tracks new opportunities. This includes OEM Hyperscaler Datacenter Carrier VAR and System Integrator type opportunities.
- Leads supports and tracks performance of all accounts in his/her territory.
- Ensures forecast is entered on time and verified through multiple customer sources
- With Coherent legal team negotiates NDA and supply contracts to Coherents best interest
- Price/share negotiations maintains majority share position and always receives last look
- Monitors and tracks competitors in territory
- Available accessible and responsive to requests
- Leads and expedites resolution of Quality Issues
- Builds relationships at all levels
- Must be able to be on call during the night time when needed with our factories in Asia
- Willing to travel at least 50 of time both domestically and internationally
- Documents all customer interactions with a summary and action items
- Project management skills such as product life cycle and NPI process
- From the start where RSM must submit the business case form which fully describes customer requirement and business opportunity
- To the end where First Articles are supplied
- Drive production POs after NPI
Education & Experience
- BS technical degree EE or Industrial Technology or equivalent.
- At least 12 years of successful sales experience with account management and territory management
- Background in telecommunication / optical networking / fiber optics/ networking
- Background in working with OEM Datacenter customers MSO customers Service Providers System Integrators VARs will be a plus
- MBA is a plus

- Ability to evaluate and recommend creative approaches to achieve brand objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills and ability to comprehend (including technical concepts) and communicate at a high level with customers distributors and sales reps at different purchasing and engineering levels
- Ability to analyze & interpret technical documents government proposals market reports and business trend analysis
- Ability to continually stay abreast of critical market/technological developments through internet literature conferences and personal network to assess opportunities and risks.
- Ability to write reports business correspondence and proposals
- Ability to anticipate and handle multiple priorities and complex issues involving external and internal priorities.
- Ability to excel in a crossorganizational crosscultural global team environment.
- Ability to deal effectively with differences of opinion to influence to draw ideas from others and to negotiate and mediate
- Handle special assignments promptly and professionally.
- Set a high standard of ethics professionalism leadership and competency
