The Duxton Hospitality Emerging Leaders Program is your opportunity to develop challenge and elevate valuable skills and become a wellrounded and respected leader within DHS. Our program will see you surrounded by a strong network of future leaders who are looking to challenge themselves in pursuit of a career in hospitality.
With modules delivered by DHS industry professionals trainees will also complete hospitality training with our chosen RTO. This includes a Certificate III in Hospitality and a Certificate IV in Leadership & Management.
Year 1:
Over a 12 month rotational program you will work fulltime across multiple metropolitan hotels whilst completing a Certificate III in Hospitality in conjunction with our chosen RTO.
During each threemonth rotation you will undertake various training programs at our specialty venues with rotations in:
- Front of house Bottle Shop
- Gaming TAB Keno
- Kitchen
- Events Administration.
The awardwinning hotels included in the rotations are The Lion Hotel The Cremorne Cross Keys and Old Noarlunga.
You will also have the opportunity to meet with the other trainees once a fortnight to explore industry trends which includes listening to guest speakers beer and wine tastings and even bread making!
Year 2:
The second year of the program focusses on building strong leadership and management skills whilst completing further rotations to gain a deeper understanding into venue operations. During this time you will work to complete a Certificate IV in Leadership and Management whilst working closely with your designated mentor.
