Job Description
The Senior Design Engineer is responsible to work on all development phases from research and development to design and manufacture through to installation and final commissioning.
The goal is to design and assist in fabrication and assembly of mechanical components of innovation and
excellence.
- (Post) Graduate degree in Mechanical/ Design Engineering or NDip in Mechanical/ Design Engineering or BTech Degree in Mechanical/ Design Engineering Other relevant certificates will be advantageous.
- Experienced engineer with 5 years of experience
- Previous experience in the military vehicle design environment would be greatly advantageous.
- Liaison with other departments across the Value Chain and baselines to coordinate progress and influence on various stages of the development.
- Help develop PM strategy processes and procedures in line with department and company strategies and procedures.
- Analytical Thinking
- Problem Solving Skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience with PMBoK (preferred) or similar
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Onshape NX12 (Unigraphics) preferred or relevant CAD package
- Microsoft Office
- A team player who is willing to assist the team on various aspects of the project if required.
- Innovative thinker.
- Ability to rapidly adapt to a changing environment and requirements.
- Passionate selfdriven individual.
