IT Manager Support Specialist

Your Purpose:

As an IT Manager & Support Specialist you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems networks and infrastructure within a leading automotive wholesale and distribution business. Your expertise will support critical business functions maintaining system security optimizing technology solutions and providing technical support to employees and customers. This role requires a handson approach to IT management ensuring that business operations run seamlessly and efficiently.

Your Responsibilities:

You should have 35 years of experience in IT support or systems administration preferably within a wholesale distribution or logistics environment. Familiarity with ERP systems inventory management and data analytics is a plus.

IT Management & Strategy: You will oversee IT infrastructure network performance and hardware maintenance to ensure optimal system efficiency. Managing key technology resources such as Tecfinity QLIK eCommerce platforms and Microsoft solutions will be a key part of your role. Additionally you will drive IT strategy governance and budget management ensuring alignment with business goals.

System Security & Compliance: You will be responsible for implementing and monitoring cybersecurity measures to protect business data and transactions. Your role will include conducting IT audits ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and managing contracts with technology vendors and service providers to ensure SLA adherence.

Technical Support & System Maintenance: Your role involves providing frontline IT support ensuring smooth operation of key systems and troubleshooting issues related to hardware connectivity and businesscritical applications. You will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the continuous operation of Tecfinity eCommerce and QLIK business intelligence tools.

Training & Documentation: You will train staff on IT systems and best practices ensuring they utilize technology effectively. Additionally you will maintain documentation of IT systems troubleshooting guides and standard procedures to enhance efficiency and knowledge sharing within the organization.

Technical Skills: You must have strong expertise in Windows Server Active Directory and networking protocols (TCP/IP DNS VPNs WiFi troubleshooting). Experience with warehouse/logistics systems and automotive aftermarket tools is highly beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint Excel (including Pivot Tables) and Outlook is required. A basic understanding of data visualization and business analysis will be advantageous.

Behavioral Competencies: You must be a proactive problemsolver with strong analytical and communication skills. The ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and nontechnical teams is essential. A CanDo attitude is a must as IT issues can range from cables to cloud infrastructure.

Whats Required:

A Diploma or Degree in IT Computer Science or a related field is required. Certifications such as CompTIA Network Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or ITIL Foundation will be advantageous.

Where you will be working:

This is a fulltime onsite position located in the South of Johannesburg. You will be working within a fastpaced automotive wholesale and distribution environment where technology plays a crucial role in business operations. Availability for afterhours support may be required in critical situations.
