What you will do:

  • Lead a team of highly skilled scientists and engineers on project planning activities documentation quality and of downstream process activities in the laboratory as required by project needs.
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to Fast Trak PDS staff on all areas of downstream processing through training advising and handson project support.
  • Be a technical SME at key customer meetings and provide technical leadership to support customer engagement and scope of work (SOW) definition for new customer projects and proposal generation.
  • Propose plan execute and present thought leadership content at national and international conferences to promote Fast Trak PDS as a leader in the industry.
  • Foster scientific collaborations within Fast Trak PD crossfunctional teams and customers to drive efficient of internal and external KPIs.
  • Manage resources and prioritize activities to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with the team management and internal stakeholders.

Who you are:

  • Bachelors degree or higher in chemical engineering molecular biology biochemistry or related discipline with 10 years of relevant experience in biologics processes and managing teams.
  • Be a downstream subject matter expert who stays abreast of developments within own field and possess excellent knowledge of laboratory techniques at the PD and Pilot scale.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to lead and support written reports and oral presentations to internal/external customers and conferences.
  • Ability and willingness to support associate training and handson laboratory activities from PD to pilot scale in a BSL2 environment.
  • Ability and willingness to occasionally operate outside of working hours as required by project needs and travel to customer sites and conferences to support process techtransfer and thought leadership activities.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Masters or Ph.D. in chemical engineering molecular biology biochemistry or related discipline.
  • Experience with scaling bioprocesses from PD to Pilot scale and of techtransfer activities.
  • Prior experience managing crossfunctional teams.
