Unaccredited Trainee Medicine
Northern Beaches Hospital provides worldclass Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds 50bed Emergency Department 20bed general and cardiothoracic ICU 14 fully equipped theatres including hybrid theatres two cardiac catheter labs and four procedure rooms and a state of the art education and interactive SIM centre.

About the Department
The Department of Adult Medicine comprises of subspecialties which include Aged Care Infectious Diseases Gastroenterology Nephrology Oncology General Medicine Neurology Respiratory Haematology Palliative Care and Cardiology. Doctors who join our motivated and dynamic services will have the opportunity to gain experience in dealing with complex cardiac and cardiothoracic patients. The campus has two catheter labs 14 theatres along with a 20 bed ICU and advanced coronary care unit.
All sub specialties have active areas of research and our mentoring program too aims to motivate direct encourage and nurture our trainees towards their career goals and aspirations.
Your Role
The Medicine Unaccredited Trainee clinical year consists of clinical rotations in Medicine and Relief with opportunities for terms in Cardiology Aged Care General Medicine and MAU and potentially other specialties. There is an expectation that this position will contribute to the afterhours rosters and will include participation in HospitalatNight cover in the Division of Medicine. Your primary role is to provide medical care in conjunction with the various specialists and admitting medical officers for patients in Medicine and other areas within the hospital to secure optimum health outcomes.
