Job Description

Hire Resolves client is urgently seeking the expertise of a SHEQ Manager in Centurion GP.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Health and Environmental (SHE):
  • Plan direct and implement organizational SHEQ programs
  • Manage organise and report on the Industrial Division Safety team.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures compliant with OSHACT & The Mines & Safety Act
  • Design and conduct training on workplace safety fire prevention and handling of hazardous materials
  • Analyse industrial accident causes and health hazards
  • Report on SHEQ performance compliance incidents trends and issues
  • Manage key safety and environmental projects to achieve Zero Harm
  • Develop and implement inspection policies procedures and schedules
  • Evaluate health and safety practices and conduct risk assessments
  • Investigate accidents/incidents and implement preventative measures
  • Handle workers compensation claims and suggest SHEQ improvements
  • Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC):
  • Supervise Quality Control functions including inspection schedules and quality records collection
  • Manage organise and report on the Industrial Division Quality team.
  • Support Project/Construction Manager in client communications for quality matters
  • Assess implementation of Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans (QCPs)
  • Allocate Quality Control personnel and supervise inspections and documentation
  • Evaluate qualifications of welders NDT Technicians and inspection personnel
  • Support construction roles in subcontractor management and control
  • Participate in internal/external audits and coordinate material identification systems
  • Supervise equipment calibration management and welding/NDT qualification activities
  • Evaluate & approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs)
  • Analyse nonconformities and supervise defect repair inspections

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree/Diploma in Environmental Management Occupational Safety and Health or related field
  • Safety Management Diploma/Degree
  • Registration with SACPCMP (advantageous)
  • Minimum 10 years combined experience: 5 years as Safety Health and Environmental Manager & 5 years as QA/QC Manager
  • Extensive knowledge of SHEQ systems in heavy industrial environments
  • Experience implementing strategic SHEQ frameworks at corporate level
  • Experience in Industrial Safety and Construction Regulations
  • Experience in Nuclear Safety Principles and Culture (desirable)
  • Experience in Human Performance monitoring and
  • Experience managing SHEQ on large value EPC Projects in Oil Gas Power industrial sectors
