Job Description
Hire Resolves client is urgently seeking the expertise of a SHEQ Manager in Centurion GP.
Responsibilities:
- Safety Health and Environmental (SHE):
- Plan direct and implement organizational SHEQ programs
- Manage organise and report on the Industrial Division Safety team.
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures compliant with OSHACT & The Mines & Safety Act
- Design and conduct training on workplace safety fire prevention and handling of hazardous materials
- Analyse industrial accident causes and health hazards
- Report on SHEQ performance compliance incidents trends and issues
- Manage key safety and environmental projects to achieve Zero Harm
- Develop and implement inspection policies procedures and schedules
- Evaluate health and safety practices and conduct risk assessments
- Investigate accidents/incidents and implement preventative measures
- Handle workers compensation claims and suggest SHEQ improvements
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC):
- Supervise Quality Control functions including inspection schedules and quality records collection
- Manage organise and report on the Industrial Division Quality team.
- Support Project/Construction Manager in client communications for quality matters
- Assess implementation of Quality Plan and Quality Control Plans (QCPs)
- Allocate Quality Control personnel and supervise inspections and documentation
- Evaluate qualifications of welders NDT Technicians and inspection personnel
- Support construction roles in subcontractor management and control
- Participate in internal/external audits and coordinate material identification systems
- Supervise equipment calibration management and welding/NDT qualification activities
- Evaluate & approve Welding Procedure Specifications (WPSs)
- Analyse nonconformities and supervise defect repair inspections
Requirements
- Bachelors degree/Diploma in Environmental Management Occupational Safety and Health or related field
- Safety Management Diploma/Degree
- Registration with SACPCMP (advantageous)
- Minimum 10 years combined experience: 5 years as Safety Health and Environmental Manager & 5 years as QA/QC Manager
- Extensive knowledge of SHEQ systems in heavy industrial environments
- Experience implementing strategic SHEQ frameworks at corporate level
- Experience in Industrial Safety and Construction Regulations
- Experience in Nuclear Safety Principles and Culture (desirable)
- Experience in Human Performance monitoring and
- Experience managing SHEQ on large value EPC Projects in Oil Gas Power industrial sectors
