NONMANAGEMENT JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Permanency Supervisor Exempt/Nonexempt: Exempt
Immediate Supervisor: Program Manager
Essential Functions:
- Primarily responsible for collaborating with children parents and community providers to assess plan evaluate and establish linkages for inhome stabilization prevention safety permanency and wellbeing outcomes.
- Conduct consultations with children or young persons to ascertain their wishes and feelings regarding arrangements for achieving permanence.
- Provide oncall services and be available to work extended hours evenings weekends and holidays to meet programmatic needs.
- Travel to highrisk communities as required to fulfill job duties.
- Safely transport children youth and clients in own vehicle when necessary.
- Ensure agency obligations to the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) are met adhering comprehensively to regulatory requirements and standards.
- Ensure clients receive highquality services and maintain a treatment environment that aligns with best practice standards and full compliance with Council on Accreditation standards DCFS regulations and the code of ethics for child welfare professionals.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Prepare documentation files and information as required for audit purposes ensuring accuracy and timely submissions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
- Strong understanding of child welfare principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with children parents and community providers.
- Ability to assess needs develop plans and evaluate outcomes effectively.
- Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and standards in child welfare services.
Education and Experience: must hold a Bachelors degree in Social Work Psychology or a related field with a preference for a Masters degree. They should have a minimum of two years of experience in child welfare services specifically in permanency planning. Additionally relevant certifications or licensure may be required based on regulations.
Physical Demands and Other Requirements: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the essential duties listed in the job description satisfactorily. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms. Capable of operating standard office equipment including a computer and keyboard calculator typical business machines such as a fax machine and copier. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2030 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to have valid drivers license auto insurance and must be able to safely operate a motor vehicle. The work environment characteristics include a noise level which is usually low to moderate.

Safety and Agency Resource Utilization: Demonstrates sound judgement and foresight in safety awareness and in daily work. Notifies in a timely manner the supervisory chain of any incidents or circumstances that need attention. Report all suspicions or allegations of abuse immediately to their supervisor. Ensures appropriate utilization of materials and resources and minimizes waste. Other Responsibilities: All other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
