Salary Statement

Estimated Starting Salary Range: USD $132250.00/Yr. USD $220400.00/Yr. Salary to be determined by the education experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant internal equity and alignment with market data.

Description

SRC is searching for a midlevel Windows System Administrator with experience in installation and configuration of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (e.g. Citrix) to support United States Space Command (USSPACECOM) systems. These systems will consist of an onpremises Nutanix HyperConverged Private Cloud utilizing VMware ESXi Hypervisor and associated products with future migration to Nutanixs native Hypervisor. The Private Cloud hosts classified USSPACECOM Mission Systems and Web Services including several Program of Record (PoR) Systems and Information Technology (IT) infrastructure including Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers. Work will be conducted at the governments facilities in Colorado Springs CO. Duties & Responsibilities include:

  • Operating Managing and Maintaining OnPrem VMware Horizon Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) for the customer to include troubleshooting break fix activities the patching and remediation of servers and system audit log reviews as necessary
  • Performing actions as a Windows System Administrator on Servers and Client images
  • Maintaining smooth operation of multiuser computer systems including coordination with
    network software and system engineers PC desktop technicians project managers end
    users and customer and IT management
  • Working across disciplines to isolate issues between software firmware and hardware between software and operating systems between networks and applications and between onetime events and recurrent systemic problems
  • Designing and documenting installation and configuration solutions
  • Creating templates and machine images based on user requirements

Requirements

  • 10 years experience managing a Department of Defense (DoD) Windows Server environment
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and troubleshooting Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) in Windows environments
  • Demonstrated experience managing a enterpriselevel virtualization environment (e.g. VMware ESXi Dell VxRail or Nutanix HCI)
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and/or managing a mainstream onpremises (e.g. VMware Horizon Citrix) Virtual Desktop Environment in a Department of Defense environment
  • Active DoD 8570 Level II Certification (e.g. Security CE CCNA Security etc.

Desired Skills

  • Bachelors degree in a related discipline preferred; will consider additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging vendor white papers case studies and best practices in designing and implementing technology solutions
  • Demonstrated experience managing Microsoft Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in an enterprise environment
  • Demonstrated experience requesting and installing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) certificates
  • Experience fielding Microsoft 365
  • Experience installing configuring and hardening Microsoft Window 10 and/or 11
  • Experience managing DoD Host Based Security System (HBSS)
  • Experience configuring and troubleshooting Axway Tumbleweed and Online Certificate Status Protocol (OCSP) solutions
  • Experience managing advanced Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) configurations such as on Windows Failover Cluster or Infoblox
  • Experience managing IT infrastructure in an operational DoD environment such as a Combatant Command (COCOM) Joint Operations Center Service Branch enterprise network or similar
  • Experience designing specifying or implementing VDI environments
  • Experience managing and configuring mainstream (NetScaler or F5 load balancer solutions
  • Experience implementing Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB)
  • Experience managing Raytheon / Forcepoint/ Everfox Trusted Thin Client
  • Experience standing up new Nutanix clusters and managing Nutanix Hypervisor
  • Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server especially Always On availability groups
  • Excellence in process and configuration automation through Microsoft PowerShell
  • Advanced understanding of networking concepts such as routing and switching and experience with troubleshooting from a network perspective with packet analyzers such as tcpdump WireShark and Fiddler
  • Advanced understanding of and experience troubleshooting within the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model
  • Experience managing DNS concepts such as zone delegation and service records
  • Experience managing Service Principal Names (SPNs)
  • Experience managing *nix flavor operating systems to include hardening and deployment of DISA STIGs
  • Exceptional organizational verbal and written skills

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TOP SECRET / SCI LEVEL
