DETAILS
Location: 100 OnSite in Scottsdale AZ
Position Type: LongTerm Contract
Hourly: $2528/hr

ABOUT THE POSITION
GTN Technical Staffing is seeking a CAD Technical for a longterm contract opporunity in Scottsdale AZ. This role is 100 onsite in N. Scottsdale AZ. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in AutoCAD. In this role you will join a Civil Design and Engineering team support engineering projects related to residential and commercial site design. This role focuses on drafting construction plans for utilities roadways grading and other civil infrastructure.
- Draft and edit technical drawings for land development projects
- Apply redlines from project managers or senior designers
- Assist in creating alignments profiles surfaces and grading plans
- Perform quantity takeoffs and basic calculations
- Support plan set preparation and project documentation
- Follow drafting standards and ensure accuracy
- Work under supervision to meet project timelines
- Occasional overtime or overnight travel as needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in drafting engineering tech or related field
- Proficient in AutoCAD with knowledge of drafting standards and tools (XREFs sheet sets annotations)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office
- Good written and verbal communication
HIGHLY DESIRED (BUT NOT REQUIRED)
- Autodesk Civil 3D (label styles alignments profiles pipe networks etc.
- 1–2 years of experience in land development or civil site projects
- Prior work preparing full construction plan sets
- Familiarity with ArcGIS or geospatial data tools
- Willingness to expand technical skills
