Job Description


The incumbent shall be responsible for delivering Annual / Half Yearly / Quarterly / Monthly Sales Targets of the allocated territory through various trade channels such as Retailers Distributors Dealers SubDealers and Influencers like Builders Contractors Architects Interior Designers etc.


1. Sales Target Achievement:


o Meet and exceed sales targets for assigned territories by driving both retail and channel sales.

o Execute a strategic plan to achieve monthly quarterly and annual sales goals.


2. Trade Mapping & Management:


o Conduct market research to identify new sales opportunities market trends and competitor activities

o Develop a detailed understanding of the assigned territory including existing and potential customer segments

o Expand the market presence by onboarding new retail and channel partners


3. Relationship Management:


o Build and maintain strong relationships with trade & influencers to maximise sales opportunities. o Conduct regular visits to trade & accounts address their concerns and ensure continuous business flow

o Develop and manage longterm relationships with clients offering postsale support and regular followups


4. Product Promotion & Brand Awareness:


o Promote the company s products through various retail and channel partners ensuring brand visibility in the market

o Conduct product presentations demonstrations and training sessions for retailers and channel partners

o Conduct Shop Meets as per organisational requirement with Carpenters & Contractors o Ensure proper product placement and merchandising in retail outlets


5. Business Development:


o Identify potential retail outlets and distributors for expanding the company s distribution network.

o Work closely with the marketing team to devise sales strategies promotional campaigns and incentive programs for channel partners.

o Leverage business intelligence and CRM tools to forecast demand and identify new business opportunities


6. Order Management & Payments:


o Ensure timely order processing delivery and payment collection from retailers and channel partners.

o Coordinate with internal teams (logistics accounts) to manage the supply chain efficiently.

o Monitor outstanding payments and ensure timely collections from clients


7. Sales Reporting:


o May be required to prepare daily weekly and monthly sales reports to track progress and ensure alignment with sales objectives.

o Provide insights on market trends customer preferences and competitor activities in his territory.

o Use datadriven approaches to improve sales effectiveness and decisionmaking


8. Customer Service & Satisfaction:


o Address and resolve customer queries complaints and feedback within the established

TAT o Ensure high customer satisfaction by delivering quality service and maintaining product consistency.



Reporting:


Typically to the Branch Sales Manager / Location Sales Manager. S/he may also have to directly or indirectly report to the Regional Sales Manager / Zonal Sales Manager / National Sales Manager depending on Business requirements or as per the Management decision.



Requirements

Candidate Profile:


Minimum of 23 or more years of relevant experience in Retail & Channel Sales in Building

Material Industry

Gogetter attitude

Target oriented

Familiarity with the local/regional market dynamics and customer base would be preferred Should be selfdriven and willing to work hard

Good communication skills. Should know the local language and preferably Hindi &/or English

Good understanding of Retail & Channel selling skills

Good interpersonal skills

Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and customer needs

Willing to travel locally regularly and upcountry periodically

Preferably should have a twowheeler (along with a twowheeler licence) for local travel

Should own a Smartphone & be reasonably techsavvy



Key Skills & Competencies:


1. Sales Skills:


o Excellent sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.

o Strong understanding of the building material industry products and market dynamics.


2. Communication Skills:


o Good verbal and preferably written communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients

o Ability to explain complex products and concepts in an easytounderstand manner o Should be confident in the local language of the trade & also know either Hindi &/or English


3. Analytical & ProblemSolving Skills:


o Ability to analyse basic sales data and market trends

o Proactive in resolving issues and identifying opportunities for improvement


4. Relationship Management:


o Strong interpersonal skills for managing relationships with the entire trade


5. Product Knowledge:


o Moderate knowledge of building materials particularly laminates is preferred o Ability to stay updated with industry trends innovations and competitive products


6. Tech Knowledge:


o Preferably proficient in SFA & CRM software and Microsoft Office tools (Excel Word PowerPoint) for sales tracking and reporting.



Sales Executive must be well spoken on Technical detailing with Product details, Product working technique & Product capacity range. Sales Executive must be willing to work in all types of Internet Based products & Lease contracts etc. Sales Executive must be willing to conduct e-mail campaign among construction market such as Architects, Interior developers, Builders & Residential developers and talk to public customers on cold calls and Visit the customers at their site premises and generate leads for the company. Sales Executive must be interested in working on business targets allocated as per the demands from the management from time to time. Sales Executive must be well-vast with communication tools such as MS WORD, MS EXCEL, MS POWERPOINT, PDF & Search Engine utilisation. Sales Executive must speak Local language such as Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu & Malayalam etc.

Education

Qualification: BE.Mech / Diploma in Mech Eng. & MBA Marketing.
