Job Description

  • To become an integral member of a project team and provide as much support as possible in meeting deadlines production work and project design
  • To enhance personal knowledge of architectural design and gain hands on experience in the various stages of a projects development
  • To undertake and record activities required to progress towards professional qualification i.e. PEDR quarterly logbooks

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. Project Assistant

  • Produce drawings in accordance with company guidelines and within project deadlines
  • Assist with appropriate research
  • Assist in the compilation of project reports and the production of models in line with project needs
  • Offer support to the project leader with general production problem solving and design input
  • Carry out such other duties which are consistent with the nature and responsibilities of the role

2. Continual development of architectural understanding and awareness

  • Become involved in as many architectural studies investigations coordination meetings and design workshops as possible
  • To become involved with a variety of the aspects within a project and become familiar with contracts programme and project management
  • Gain an understanding of the expectations of the profession as well as gaining exposure to the overall industry

3. Proactive team member

  • Become an effective and efficient team member someone that the team can rely on
  • Possess a flexible working attitude and work well within the team environment
  • Proactively demonstrate knowledge and skills acquired at university

4. Professional qualifications

  • To undertake and record activities required to progress towards professional qualification i.e. PEDR quarterly logbooks
  • Continue to add to your professional portfolio ensuing to document the most impressive aspects of your contributions

Qualifications :

Education and Training

  • Undergraduate qualifications in Architecture Honours optional
  • Excellent design skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Photoshop and 3D Max
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese are highly desirable

Experience

  • Previous working experience is beneficial
  • Previous experience in an office environment working as part of a team is preferred

  • An enthusiasm for design and the built environment
  • An ambitious personality capable of achieving
  • Management of your own time input vs. your productivity
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Able to work as part of a team and to motivate others

 

This role is based out of our London office with occasional travel needed to other offices.
