Colegio Montessoris Oriente campus is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Homeroom Teacher to join the Elementary School team (Grades 14. This is a lead classroom teaching role that combines core subject instruction pastoral care and community engagement in a bilingual international learning environment.
You will be responsible for delivering highquality Englishmedium instruction in core areas such as English Language Arts Math Science and Social Studies while also guiding students socialemotional development and fostering a positive inquirybased classroom culture.

As a Homeroom Teacher at the Oriente campus you will play a central role in students academic emotional and personal growth. Your responsibilities will include:
Core Teaching Responsibilities:
Lead daily instruction of core academic subjects in English (English Language Arts Math Science Social Studies) following the Montessori and Cambridgealigned curriculum.
Design and deliver engaging inquirybased lessons that promote critical thinking creativity and collaboration.
Integrate English language development strategies to support bilingual learners.
Use varied teaching methods and technologies to differentiate instruction and support diverse learning needs.
Classroom & Pastoral Leadership:
Establish a safe inclusive and supportive classroom environment that reflects Montessori values of independence and mutual respect.
Monitor student progress provide regular feedback and implement strategies for academic support or enrichment.
Build strong positive relationships with students to support their social and emotional wellbeing.
Implement consistent classroom routines and behaviour management practices aligned with school policies.
Curriculum & Assessment:
Collaborate with coteachers and specialists to plan deliver and evaluate curriculum units and student learning outcomes.
Assess student performance using a range of formative and summative tools keeping accurate records and using data to inform instruction.
Contribute to curriculum development and continuous school improvement initiatives.
Communication & Parent Engagement:
Communicate regularly and professionally with parents about student progress behaviour and wellbeing through meetings written reports and digital platforms.
Engage families as partners in learning providing support and guidance when needed.
School Life & Professional Development:
Take part in schoolwide activities including assemblies cultural events field trips and community projects.
Participate in ongoing professional learning and schoolled training opportunities.
Collaborate with colleagues across the school and contribute positively to the wider Montessori community.
We are looking for an educator who is:
A fluent English speaker (nativelevel proficiency preferred)
A qualified primary/elementary teacher (PGCE QTS State License or equivalent)
Experienced in teaching at the primary level (ideally in bilingual or international school settings)
Familiar with or open to Montessori and inquirybased learning methods
Flexible openminded and collaborative in working with local and international staff
Passionate about supporting the development of the whole child in a multicultural context
Culturally sensitive and eager to engage with Colombian life and community

Salary
Base salary: COP $5312300/month
Second language bonus (English): COP $2641000/month
English teaching areas: COP $548500/month
Homeroom group direction bonus: COP $526200/month
Total Monthly Salary: COP $9028000
Semiannual bonuses: COP $(paid in July and November)

Annual housing allowance: COP $
Roundtrip airfare (economy) to country of origin upon arrival and every 2 years upon contract renewal
Three weeks of paid accommodation upon arrival in Rionegro
