Job Description

Kickstart 2025 with an exciting new opportunity for Rehabilitation Counsellors!

Join a dynamic passionate and highly skilled Melbourne team. You will make a valuable contribution as a Rehabilitation Consultant.

Help people living with illness disability or injury return to work or obtain new employment and live the best life they can! 

  • Work collaboratively with injured workers potential employers and your internal team of allied health professionals to provide safe sustainable opportunities for workers to reenter the workforce;
  • Provide vocational counselling services to support injured workers utilising your motivational interviewing skills.
  • Contribute to injured workers ability to achieve return to work goals through job skills development confidence building and promoting independence;
  • Apply and deliver customer service in employment services and job placement;
  • Empower clients to effectively present their skills and abilities when seeking employment;
  • Broker new employment opportunities in the Melbourne Metropolitan area and surrounds which in turn provide a swift reengagement into employment for workers who have been detached from the workplace due to a workplace injury (physical and/or psychological);
  • Build strong relationships with local employers and organisations; 
  • Complete written progress and various other reports on a regular basis.

    Qualifications :

    • Associate or Full ASORC Membership or eligibility to obtain
    • Experience in Occupational and/ or Vocational Rehabilitation is highly desirable
    • Strong resume writing skills with an understanding of local labour market;
    • A passion for assisting people to gain employment and enhance their careers;
    • The ability to grow our services and build strong relationships with key customers;
    • Current driver licence and motor vehicle.
