Job Description
Lab Coordinator
American International University Kuwait City
American International University (AIU) is looking for a dynamic and engaged Lab Coordinator. The Lab Coordinator at the American International UniversityKuwait is responsible for oversight of all labs on campus. This includes labs taught by faculty from the following schools: School of Arts and Sciences School of Engineering and School of Architecture and Design.
Job Requirements:
- Coordinate the purchasing and storage of lab supplies.
- Evaluate lab technician job performance.
- Assist in the creation of lab schedules.
- Develop and implement lab safety policies.
- Coordinate maintenance of lab equipment.
- Prepare and submit budgets including capital budgets for new equipment.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for each lab.
- Coordinate annual training for lab technicians and lab instructors.
- Coordinate delivery setup and training for newly purchased equipment.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelors or higher
- 2 years of lab supervision experience
Preferred requirements:
- Experience in a supervisory role
- Continuing education in lab management and/or lab safety
- Masters degree or higher
Language:
- English (Required)
