Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder Fabricator to join our team specializing in the repair and fabrication of steel containers and industrial compactors. This is a fulltime position requiring commitment to highquality workmanship particularly during the busy season with mandatory overtime.
You will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing critical equipment ensuring efficient and safe operation. Using modern maintenance tracking tools and technology youll contribute to an efficient and productive operation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • MIG Welding Repairs:
    Perform MIG welding to repair and restore steel containers and compactors including hydraulics structural components damaged walls rusted floors and cracked metal structures.
  • Fabrication Support:
    Assist the lead fabricator with projects including custom fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Torch and Plasma Cutting:
    Use torch burning and plasma cutting tools to prepare materials and complete repair tasks effectively.
  • Equipment Operation:
    Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to move materials and components safely within the worksite.
  • Maintenance Documentation:
    Monitor document and report work progress using maintenance tracking systems and ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
  • Safety Compliance:
    Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years (preferred).
  • Education: High school diploma required; AA degree in Welding Technology (preferred).
  • Certifications:
    • Welding Certification (preferred).
    • AWS/CWI Certification (preferred).
  • Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
  • Experience with hydraulics repair and metal fabrication.
