Job Overview We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder Fabricator to join our team specializing in the repair and fabrication of steel containers and industrial compactors. This is a fulltime position requiring commitment to highquality workmanship particularly during the busy season with mandatory overtime. You will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing critical equipment ensuring efficient and safe operation. Using modern maintenance tracking tools and technology youll contribute to an efficient and productive operation. Key Responsibilities: - MIG Welding Repairs:
Perform MIG welding to repair and restore steel containers and compactors including hydraulics structural components damaged walls rusted floors and cracked metal structures. - Fabrication Support:
Assist the lead fabricator with projects including custom fabrication and assembly tasks. - Torch and Plasma Cutting:
Use torch burning and plasma cutting tools to prepare materials and complete repair tasks effectively. - Equipment Operation:
Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment to move materials and components safely within the worksite. - Maintenance Documentation:
Monitor document and report work progress using maintenance tracking systems and ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards. - Safety Compliance:
Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications - Experience: Minimum of 5 years (preferred).
- Education: High school diploma required; AA degree in Welding Technology (preferred).
- Certifications:
- Welding Certification (preferred).
- AWS/CWI Certification (preferred).
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
- Experience with hydraulics repair and metal fabrication.
