Our Geotechnical & Hydrogeology team in Tasmania has a great opportunity for a Senior Geochemist to join us in Hobart in a role that provides a balance of technical work field work mentoring and business development.

Working with an energetic and highperforming team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Oversite of field investigations managing third parties & subcontractors providing guidance and technical advice.
• Geoenvironmental assessments of mine waste through the asset life cycle from approvals to closure
• Defining the scope carrying out investigations and reporting on findings of Acid and Metalliferous Drainage (AMD) and Acid Sulfate Soils projects as well as preparing AMD/ management plans for waste rock and tailings.
• Designing technical solutions and leading project teams to deliver solutions that meet the needs of clients coupled with acting as the project manager on various projects
• Interacting with clients through pursuit tendering and delivery phases of projects along with opportunities to address business development tasks in our relationshiporiented business.
• Providing technical mentoring for junior team members to build and develop their skills to ensure the continuing success of the team.

What would you bring to the team

• A Bachelors degree or higher in geochemistry geology or a similar field.
• Experience in AMD/ investigations and management for civil and mining projects.
• Knowledge of applicable standards (Australian AMD/ guidelines and GARD guidelines) and familiarity with industry best practices.
• Experience with interpreting static and kinetic AMD testing (NAG NAPP ASLP/LEAF leaching KNAG ABCC column leach) and classifying material accordingly.
• A track record for delivering exceptional client experience and an eye for business development opportunities.
