Step into the world of construction cost estimation as an Estimator Summer Intern and gain valuable experience working alongside seasoned professionals. This 68week internship provides handson exposure to the bid preparation process cost analysis and quantity takeoffs equipping you with a solid foundation in estimating practices for diverse construction projects.
As part of the program you will complete a capstone project where youll analyze a specific bid package or cost component from a real project develop recommendations for cost efficiency or accuracy improvements and present your findings to the team. This project will highlight your analytical skills and understanding of estimating principles while providing a tangible result to showcase your experience.
Qualifications:

This project will highlight your analytical skills and understanding of estimating principles while providing a tangible result to showcase your experience.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in construction management civil engineering or a related field.
- Strong interest in construction estimating and cost analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word Outlook); familiarity with estimating software (e.g. Bluebeam or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to read drawings preferred but not required
- Detailoriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively in a team environment.
- Availability to work fulltime for the duration of the internship.
