Job Description
Job Title: Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist
Location: Newton NJ or other NJ office location

Responsibilities:
Works with Producers and Account Managers on recommended markets.
Help producer and account manager on gathering additional information/supplemental applications required to obtain quotations
Establish and recommend appropriate coverages on new submissions.
Tracks all of own marketing activities in Applied Epic with full applications & open activities.
Determine with Producers and Account Managers the best placement and terms for renewing accounts including actual placement and negotiation on appropriate accounts
Followup rigorously with carriers so that new and renewal quotes are delivered on a timely basis; negotiate with savvy and determination to get the best coverage/pricing/addons available to any agency client
Communicate with both carriers and clients in a timely and professional manner.
Review quotes for accuracy.
Organize and prioritize workflow.
Provide technical support to Producer; specifically in analyzing client needs
Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate coverages in coordination with Producer.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or the recognized equivalent is required.
Must possess a current NJ Property & Casualty Insurance License (Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal).
Minimum 3 years of progressively responsible insurance experience.
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in MS Word Excel Outlook Internet Adobe Acrobat and Customer Database Programs (Applied/EPIC experience is helpful).
Other Qualifications:
Ability to perform typing duties with verbal and/or written direction; Strong multitasking organizational communication & grammatical skills.
Ability to work independently of continuous supervision and achieve a highlevel product within requested time constraints.
Must be able to work as a team member to achieve department goals and overall company goals.
Excellent customer service skills including telephone and listening skills.
A positive outlook and desire to learn and grow with us.
Moderate stress due to regular deadlines and employee conflict resolution.
