MATERIAL COORDINATOR AT PRIMEFLIGHT!

Our Material Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all parts and materials required for production are ordered tracked and delivered to the shop before the start of each job. This role is critical in maintaining efficient operations by ensuring that every item on the Bill of Materials (BOM) is accounted for ordered and received on schedule. The Material Coordinator works closely with the production scheduler and suppliers to confirm timelines resolve delays and adjust schedules as necessary to meet operational demands.

WHAT ITS LIKE TO WORK AS A MATERIAL COORDINATOR

Review Bills of Materials (BOM) for each job to identify required parts and materials

Place orders for all items on the BOM ensuring accurate quantities and specifications

Monitor order status and maintain communication with suppliers to ensure timely delivery

Work collaboratively with the scheduler to align material availability with production schedules

Proactively identify potential delays or supply chain issues and implement solutions to mitigate impact

Maintain accurate records of purchase orders delivery schedules and inventory levels

Coordinate with the receiving department to confirm deliveries and resolve discrepancies

Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders including production and project managers to update them on material availability and any potential issues

Continuously evaluate suppliers for performance reliability and costeffectiveness.

May be assigned other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

18 years of age or older

Eligible to work in the United States

Proven experience in materials coordination procurement supply chain or a related field

Proficiency in inventory management software and tools

Intermediate/Highly proficient Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook

Ability to read write speak and understand the English language to include documents

Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients both inperson and through electronic means

Pass a background check and drug screen

Must be flexible to work extended hours on occasion to support our field operations

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY/WORKING CONDITIONS MAY INCLUDE:

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Position is generally sedentary sitting for long periods of time

Tasks may involve repetitive motions of the arms wrists hands and/or fingers

Specific vision abilities required for this job include: Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less); distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point); depth perception (threedimensional vision ability to judge distances and spatial relationships); ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus)

The pay rate listed on this post is what the company reasonably expects to pay for this position. However individual compensation may vary based on factors including qualifications skills competencies education and experience.
