About the Position
The Front Desk Assistant is a member of our Community Operations Team. This team is small so everyone collaborates and helps each other by taking on any task big or small and maintaining a can do attitude. The team works together to ensure that guests and residents feel well cared for the physical space is functional and organized and events are wellplanned and run smoothly. Some work is independent while other work requires collaboration with other members of the team or The Engine Accelerator staff.
Areas of Responsibility
Represent the Engine to all visitors staff and guests
Oversee and maintain a presence at the front desk of The Engine at 501 Mass Ave during scheduled business hours
Greet visitors warmly and ensure an efficient handoff to their host using our guest management system
Monitor building badges and keys; program access to building as directed; periodically update database system to ensure accurate information
Provide support with event planning; reserve spaces; place and receive catering orders; setup/breakdown furniture; work with host to ensure all preparation details are addressed
Maintain relationships with facilities team and applicable vendors; triage issues and place service calls; schedule routine equipment service and warranty appointments
