Position Summary
The Field Coordinator is responsible for the overall planning development implementation and evaluation of the undergraduate and graduate field placement program of the Facundo Valdez School of Social Work in the Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area. The Field Coordinator reports to the Schools Field Education Director.
Duties And Responsibilities
Plan develop implement and evaluate a comprehensive field placement program for undergraduate BSW and graduate MSW students; Oversee and approve placement of BSW and MSW students in approved field practicum agencies; Recruit evaluate approve contracts and retain field practicum agencies ensuring responsiveness to the mission of the school; Oversee and approve placement of students in approved field practicum agencies; Recruit interview and recommend for hire field consultants; Assign field consultants to students in practicum to monitor assess and guide field placement and to provide support and consultation to students and agency field instructors; Supervise and conduct performance evaluations of field consultants; Provide support to and problemsolve with field consultants and intervene promptly in the resolution of problems experienced by students or agencies in field placements; Supervise field administrative staff work study students and/or Graduate Assistants and conduct performance evaluations; Manage and oversee Field management software and ensure it is utilized and updated regularly; Provide field orientations to students field consultants and agency instructors/representatives; Review student evaluations of field practicum field agencies and field seminars and provide followup as needed; Supervise field administrative staff to oversee the maintenance updating and completion of paperwork such as field files forms instructor contracts and travel requests; Develop & implement annual Field /Career Fair; Utilize technology including Zoom to facilitate efficient communication with students field staff & agencies; Provide reports and/or updates to the Dean and Field Director each semester including student progress status of field practicum agencies and problems encountered in the field placement program; Oversee the maintenance and updating of student and agency files; Participate in School meetings of faculty staff and field personnel inperson or via Zoom; Participate in Field Advisory Committee comprised of field instructors field consultants and students/former grads; Support recruitment efforts for Title IVE Child Welfare Stipend program; Work closely with faculty advisors in support of students in practicum; Participate in School committees as assigned; Perform related duties as assigned; Maintain regular attendance.

Preferred Qualifications
At least one year experience as field education coordinator field consultant or as field supervisor/instructor At least one year of university teaching experience preferably in social work education (field seminar preferred)
