Accounts Payable:

• Receive and verify invoices prior to payment for assigned vendors; verify that transactions comply with financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare batches of invoices for data entry; enter invoices for assigned vendors for payment using accounting software; process backup reports after data entry.
• Prepare weekly manual cheques & direct deposits as required and record accordingly.
• Assist Accounts Payable Supervisor with monthly cheque runs and record accordingly.
• Reconcile vendor statements for assigned vendors research and correct discrepancies.
• Maintain and update all vendor files and respond to vendor inquiries.
• Ensure the confidentiality and security of Accounts Payable files.
• Provide administrative support and clerical services to ensure the office is operating efficiently and effectively.

What We Are Looking For:

• Minimum of 2 years Accounting experience or equivalent education.
• A degree or diploma in Business Administration Office Administration or a related field is considered an asset.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with Microsoft Office suite particularly Excel.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written). Fluency in French would be an asset.
• Ability to multitask prioritize and attention to detail.
• Time management and organizational skills.
