We Are Looking For

We are looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Lead Accounts Payable with a strong background in high volume A/P processes who will be responsible for all accounts payable functions for the company including but not limited to processing invoices cutting checks and electronic payments reconciling vendor statements ensuring compliance with AP policies vendor communication and monthly AP accruals. Generally to support the accounting department and assist in accurate and timely financial statements.


What Youll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Manage accounts payable using accounting software and multiple ERP systems
  • Process Standard 2-way and 3-way voucher match
  • Ensure Invoices are approved processed and paid timely within terms
  • Confirm payments are processed with the bank and post payments to ERPs ensuring compliance with internal controls
  • Generate standard AP reporting from ERP systems
  • Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Communicate with suppliers to gather statements of account and other financial information while maintaining positive relationships
  • Review AP Aging detail and compare to supplier statements to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Work collaboratively with Procurement and Sales teams to resolve costing discrepancies on Purchase Orders
  • Reconcile AP Detail and Accrued Liability Accounts to General Ledger monthly
  • Resolve supplier complaints and verify transactions through consultation
  • Address internal/external supplier inquiries regarding payment status and credit terms
  • Assist with audit preparation investigate and resolve audit findings account discrepancies and issues of non-compliance
  • 1099 year-end filing process
  • Lead AP staff as appropriate
  • Train and mentor junior staff
  • Performs other duties as assigned


What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills):

  • High School Diploma (Assoc. degree in Accounting Finance Business Admin. or Economics preferred)
  • 4-7 years experience in a high-volume AP environment
  • Must be a US person based on ITAR requirements
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees
  • Excellent organizational time-management skills attention to detail and accuracy
  • ERP Knowledge and Experience Quantum NetSuite SAP JD Edwards Oracle Dynamics Sage Great Plains
  • Illustrate the ability to meet deadlines
  • Moderate level of Excel proficiency
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools
  • Team player and ability to motivate the team members


Special Requirements:

  • U.S. Citizen U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder) orasylee/refugee status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3) required.
  • ITAR requirement
  • 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.
