Job Description
Our clienta world leader in life sciences and diagnostics is looking for a Systems EngineerI based out ofSanta Clara CA.
Duration:LongTermContract (High possibility of extension)
Pay Rate: $48/hron W2
Responsibilities:
- TheSystem Engineers focus is on improving reliability and robustness of thesequencing and sample prep platforms through failure analysis root causeinvestigations troubleshooting and identifying and supporting implementationof solutions.
- Becomean expert on the operation and functionality of the Roche Sequencing Platformand Sample Prep platform to ensure minimal system down time
- Workwith the engineering teams on resolving discovered issues and propose solutionsto common failure modes
- Supportthe lab teams with system troubleshooting both at the hardware/software leveland the assay level
Qualifications:
- B.S. with 23 years of experience or M.S with1 in a Bio engineering mechanical engineering electrical engineeringcomputer engineering mechatronics or a related disciple
- Troubleshootingexperience in development or operations of micro fluidics liquid handlerdiagnostic systems NGS systems. Experience in failure analysis and/or defectmanagement is a plus.
- Understandingof sequencing methodologies
- Abilityto perform statistical analysis of data with programs such as JMP R etc.Familiarity with computer programming in languages such as Python is a plus
