You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailSt John of God Frankston Rehabilitation Hospital is a 60bed rehabilitation hospital focused on supporting patients to regain independence and improving their quality of life by offering specialist neurological cardiac orthopaedic movement disorder (including Parkinsons disease) and reconditioning programs to patients from across the Mornington Peninsula and Greater Melbourne areas.
Your role at St John of God Frankston Hospital
You will be a member of the nursing team participates in the planning implementation and evaluation of nursing care. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse the Enrolled Nurse performs nursing functions based on her/his education preparation knowledge skills understandings and past experiences in nursing situations
The Position
Accepts accountability for professional conduct of self within scope of practice
Ensures that all documentation is accurate legible and completed in a professional and timely manner and recorded in relevant hospital and/or patient medical records.
Practice in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia.
In a spirit of hospitality and compassion observe record and report to a registered nurse specific and general physical and mental conditions of patients and symptoms and signs which may be indicative of change
Undertake to know the nursing and medical history of allocated patients.
Under supervision of a Registered Nurse deliver nursing care to allocated patients.
Document patients care and progress according to hospital policies and standards.
Report information regarding patients to appropriate personnel.
Escort patients maintaining safety at all times to and from the ward as directed.
Attend all mandatory and recommended OHS training as scheduled by Group Services.
You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse and have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within a team.
To succeed you will possess effective verbal and written communication skills and commitment to ongoing professional education.
Above all patients will be at the core of everything you do committing to and supporting our Mission and demonstrate commitment to quality patient care and patient satisfaction.
The Benefits
Salary: $64529 to $ 71737 per annum (pro rata for part time) plus 11.5 superannuation
It is a Permanent Part time position working minimum 6 shifts per fortnight. Needs to be flexible with availability across AM/PM and weekend shifts
