Supportive Learning Program Secondary Teacher
The Supportive Learning Program Secondary Teacher uses a strengthbased approach to support students experiencing social emotional and mental health related challenges. The Supportive Learning Program Secondary Teacher has an inclusion mindset and uses a universal design framework and trauma sensitive approach to support student success. The Supportive Learning Program Secondary Teacher collaborates with classroom teachers to support student success in the classroom environment and based on the students individual strengths and stretches provides individualized opportunities for students to develop the core competencies.
The Supportive Learning Program Secondary Teacher acts as case manager; developing and implementing education plans such as Individual Education Plans and Positive Behavior Support Plans. This teacher enables students access to prevention and intervention related supports and services as per students social emotional physical mental wellbeing. This teacher liaises with Learning Services personnel and outside agencies in support of students and families.
