About The Company
Our client is an online designled furniture brand dedicated to delivering quality ontrend pieces and transforming spaces into places our customers will love. The business was established in 2007 and has grown from mostly flat pack nursery furniture to now having offerings for every room. Their fastgrowing business was acquired by a larger Group with their Australian office and distribution centre based in Pinkenba Brisbane.
About The Opportunity
As a Warehouse Manager you will play a crucial role in leading the team 1020 reports) in the Australian Distribution Center to ensure orders are dispatched on time in full to customers.
Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain your responsibilities will include:
- Recruiting hiring and onboarding warehouse team members
- Developing and implementing training programs to enhance employee skills and safety
- Motivating and inspiring your team to achieve high levels of performance and productivity
- Overseeing all aspects of inventory control including receiving putaway picking packing and shipping
- Planning and optimising warehouse layout and workflow to maximise space utilisation
- Ensuring timely and accurate order fulfilment to meet customer expectations
- Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency
- Managing warehouse equipment and ensuring safety procedures are enforced
- Analysing performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a warehouse or distribution environment
- A background in B2C business and a track record of improving systems and processes
- Proven experience in inventory management and data analytics
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP tools
- Strong computer skills particularly in Microsoft Excel
You will also have:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- The ability to prioritise tasks and manage deadlines effectively
- Strong problemsolving skills to address issues as they arise
