Minimum Qualifications
ALA accredited MLS or equivalent by time of appointment Understanding of emerging issues trends and standards in librarianship Strong commitment to providing usercentered assetsbased instructional and reference services to diverse students in an academic library setting Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills Demonstrated interest in furthering CSUMB s academic goals as identified in the University Vision Statement Demonstrated success in collaborative library or educational settings Ability to work effectively with diverse campus constituencies
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with academic programs and/or faculty at an institution of higher education Experience providing information literacy instruction in a classroom or group training setting with an understanding of instructional design principles Library collection development experience Excellent analytical proactive problem solving ability Project management skills Demonstrated ability and interest in implementing new technologies in an academic library Active involvement in professional development activities with a record of scholarly contributions and achievements in the profession Proficiency in one or more nonEnglish languages Ability to respond effectively to changing needs and priorities Additional graduate degree in a relevant discipline
