Position Type: Full time

Compensation: $23.00 $27.00 Hourly

Location: Reside Seattle Downtown

Schedule: Friday Monday 12:00pm 11:00pm *Schedules may change based on business needs. May include holidays and alternate workdays or hours as needed.

About the job:

The Front Desk Lead is responsible for providing attentive courteous and efficient service to all guests during checkin throughout their stay and at checkout while maximizing room revenue and occupancy in addition to providing training coaching and support to the front desk team to further these responsibilities.

What youll be doing:

Essential Functions

  • Provide training and coaching to the Front Desk Agent team on all aspects of the guest experience and hotel operation.
  • Attending all property required meetings and training.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Reside standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the property.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag.
  • Comply with Reside standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient property operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Day to Day

  • Greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with Reside standards.
  • Provide training to the Front Desk Agent team on previously identified areas of opportunity to enhance their knowledge and competence in executing their job responsibilities.
  • Provide coaching to the Front Desk Agent team in the moment when areas of opportunity are observed to enhance and reinforce their knowledge and competence in executing their job responsibilities.
  • Maintain proper operation of the PBX console and ensure that all property standards are met (if applicable).
  • Answer any guests inquiries about property services facilities and hours of operation in a timely manner.
  • Ensure logging and delivery of packages mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms.
  • Review Front Office log and Trace File daily.
  • Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants transportation entertainment etc.
  • Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
  • Be aware of all rates packages and special promotions.
  • Be familiar with all inhouse groups.
  • Be aware of closed out and restricted dates.
  • Obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations and follow the ratequoting scenario.
  • Be familiar with hospitality terminology.
  • Have knowledge of emergency procedures and assistance as needed.
  • Handle checkins and checkouts in a friendly efficient and courteous manner.
  • Use proper twoway radio etiquette at all times when communicating with other employees.
  • Fully comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
  • Be able to perform and complete all tasks and duties on the shift checklist in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Be able to complete a bucket check room rate verification report and
  • housekeeping report.
  • Balance and prepare individual paperwork for closing of shifts according to property standards.
  • Maintain and market promotions and guest programs.
  • Maintain a clean work area.
  • Assist guests with safe deposit boxes.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position requires regular training and coaching of the Front Desk Agent team on all aspects of the guest experience and hotel operation.

  • May also provide crosstraining for staff.

Travel:

  • This position could require minimal travel less than 20 of the time.

About you:

What youll bring:

  • College course work in a related field is helpful.

  • 2 Years of experience in a hotel front desk role.

  • 3 years supervisory experience preferred

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Computer experience required.

  • Customer Services experience preferred.

What we are looking for:

  • Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.

  • Light work Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects.

  • Ability to stand during the entire shift.

Work Environment:

Usual office working conditions. This position will have desk space with a computer and a phone. The noise level in the work environment is typical of most office environments with telephones personal interruptions and background noises.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit talk and listen. The employee is frequently required to use their hands. The employee must have the ability to use a computer keyboard and mouse and the ability to dial answer and talk on a telephone. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. This job requires the ability to occasionally work in stressful conditions and remain focused for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds; boxes documents and/or other items.
