The College
Located on a beautiful 136 acre property in the Yarra Valley 60 kilometres from the Melbourne CBD) Worawa Aboriginal College is a boarding school for Aboriginal girls in their secondary years of schooling. An Aboriginalowned and governed initiative Worawa operates on the philosophy of Walking Together to Make a Difference.
A full boarding school Worawa was established to meet the unique needs of Aboriginal adolescents and address the challenges they face in mainstream education Worawa provides a holistic education that integrates Education Culture and Wellbeing. Our student population reflects the rich diversity of Aboriginal Australia drawing from communities across the country.
This position requires the incumbent to embrace the Worawa ethos of Aboriginal values Aboriginal led decision making and the right to Aboriginal selfdetermination.
The Role
The Registrar manages the entire enrolment process from recruitment to orientation maintaining strong relationships with prospective students families and community partners. The role coordinates recruitment drives liaises with communities and agencies and organises orientation programs in collaboration with ABSTUDY. As the primary point of contact for enrolment enquiries the Registrar ensures accurate recordkeeping and fosters positive connections with students and their families.
In addition to enrolments the role supports College operations through a range of administrative duties compliance with ABSTUDY and VRQA requirements and managing the College reception including phones and visitors. The Registrar also assists in the coordination of key College events and ensures smooth communication across departments.
This position requires interstate travel to participate in recruitment drives and to represent the College at external events.
The Registrar reports directly to the Head of College Operations and collaborates closely with the Boarding Administrator Finance Manager and other College staff
