Job Description

Position Summary

Individual will be the primary analyst for M&A activity in North America reporting to the Director Special Projects and working closely with RESA Powers M&A team members. Position will create models research and diligence targets control documentation and write investment theses for board approval. This role will be engaged through all aspects of acquisition from targeting to closing and through to integration. Position will have a close working relationship with P&L owners along with the rest of the financial team to provide analysis of preclose synergies and opportunities in all potential investments. This role can be performed remotely but preference would be to operate out of one of RESA Powers existing locations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze prospective M&A transactions. Perform activities such as financial modeling valuation due diligence and strategic evaluations of potential acquisitions. Work with transaction team in valuation model and synergy case development.
  • Coordinate the flow of diligence documents conduct review and help to prepare investment document and other due diligence reports.
  • Create a meaningful datafocused template to present information in a standard manner for each potential acquisition for M&A leadership to review.
  • Standardize a financial package including but not limited to P&L statements balance sheet cash flow and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain financial models.
  • Regularly perform market research and analysis.
  • Develop profitability and statistical analyses of key business insights.
  • Monitor forecast and interpret financial performance of acquisitions.
  • Development of thought pieces relating to M&A activity trends and key drivers. Opportunities to dig in and get into the weeds to understand and answer abstract questions relating to M&A.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with various teams and business units on a variety of research and strategic requests and projects.
  • Collaboration with senior management on strategic planning and implementation and board deck preparations.
  • Interacts with individuals in various parts of the business including the ELT and Private Equity sponsor.
  • Assist with the coordination and implementation of strategic planning initiatives.
  • As planned support the Financial Department with M&A projects as needed.
  • Ad hoc projects for senior M&A leadership both for internal and external purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience and 3 years of related experience.
  • An ability to articulate your analytical and reporting experience to generate insight formulate recommendations and influence business decisions.
  • Be comfortable with standard reporting (P/L OE Capital Cost Savings Inventory NPI and Corporate Priority) and have a keen interest in operations along with strong finance communication and partnership skills.
  • Knowledge and application of accounting principles including financial statements costing and fixed assets a plus.
  • Demonstrated progressive experience performing forecasting budgeting and analysis in forprofit industry. Experience in creating multiyear business models.
  • Affinity for and experience in M&A activity. Knowledge of diligence process and ability to provide forecasting for projects.
  • Independently motivated a collaborative teammate with an affinity for adapting to different situations and personalities.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Experience with business systems (ERP and Business Intelligence tools experience; Great Plains Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Power BI experience preferred).
  • Well organized with good attention to detail.

    Travel:Up to 25

    Location: Nationwide Preference in Houston TX or St. Louis MO

    Compensation: $77399.92to$108299.98USD

    Relocation: Relocation assistance not offered for this role.
