About:
Seeking a skilled Cost Accountant / Analyst to support strategic business initiatives through in-depth financial analysis. Reporting to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis this role collaborates across departments to gather and interpret data that drives operational and financial decisions. Ideal candidates will have strong communication and analytical skills with a confident solutions-oriented approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze data for various business projects
- Compare actual vs. estimated gross margins to pinpoint variances
- Evaluate operational cost drivers and inventory activity
- Assess purchasing efficiency and assist with RFP processes
- Analyze both domestic and international financial data
- Review capital investments for ROI and payback
- Partner with Accounting Finance and IT to develop reporting tools
- Assist with monthly close and annual audit processes
- Complete other tasks as assigned
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or Business
- Minimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with sales data COGS and operational cost analysis
- Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Familiarity with ERP systems (Syteline preferred)
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
