Job Description:

The Iowa State University Athletics Department is seeking hard working responsible motivated candidates for an entrylevel postgraduate associate position supporting the StudentAthlete Development and Letterwinners Engagement units. This position will provide exposure to professional aspects of collegiate athletics activities in studentathlete development in a progressive learning mode.

What youll do:

  • Assist in the daily operations programming and initiatives that fall within the StudentAthlete Development pillars: Connection Character Enhancement Civic Engagement and Career Readiness
  • Coteach a course for incoming freshman to support the transition to Iowa State and the studentathlete experience
  • Assist with coordinating community service activities
  • Assist in evaluating and building programs aimed to grow engagement with current studentathletes
  • Establish and maintain an environment conducive to the welfare personal development and academic success of the studentathletes
  • Establish and maintain effective interactions with students colleagues university staff and administrators alumni and the public
  • Maintain accurate data for sustainability of the athletic alumni database
  • Assist in planning and implementing reunions and special events
  • Perform all duties in adherence with NCAA Big 12 and university policies

The ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills ability to work collaboratively be highly organized and comfortable presenting/teaching. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body. This position works primarily daytime office hours but requires the ability to work at assigned evening and weekend events.

Position Details: Structured similar to a postgrad internship. $14$15/hour plus overtime pay; receives paid time off; full benefits package.
