Job Description
IKO Industries Ltd. is a manufacturer of quality commercial and residential roofing products and part of the IKO Group of Companies. We presently have an opportunity for an Engineering Coop 8month or 12month contract) to join our team based in Brampton Ontario.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with large ongoing project to update our Standard Operating Procedures/Standard Working Instructions/checklists
- Organizational work in the computer system using Microsoft Office Applications (Excel Outlook Word PowerPoint)
- Assist with continuous improvement projects to solve technical issues and improve process performance
- Drive the implementation of lean manufacturing strategies and troubleshooting tools
- Observing the production floor to figure out sequence of events and assist with process map
- Organization of documentation systems
- Assist with Health and Safety administration as required
- Other administrative duties as required
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or new graduate of an Engineering or Technical Program
- Tech savvy highly proficient in Microsoft Excel Outlook Word and PowerPoint
- Experience with compliance documentation or processes
- Great deal of energy and drive
- Great organizational skills
- Possess great initiative
- Ability to learn quickly
- Flexibility
- ISO 9001 understanding or experience an asset
Wage:
- $22/hour $25/hour
