Our well established Canadian manufacturing client is seeking a dynamic Materials & Logistics Manager to managed their overall logistical supply chain management. The role is responsible for organizing and monitoring the storage and distribution of goods across Alberta. The position oversees the entire order cycle to ensure business optimization sustainability and customer satisfaction.
The Role:
- Strategically plan and manage logistics warehouse transportation and customer service
- Direct optimize and coordinate full order cycles
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers manufacturers retailers and consumers
- Keep track of quality inventory stock levels delivery times transport costs and efficiency
- Arrange warehouse catalog goods plan routes and process shipments
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints
- Supervise coach and train warehouse workforce
- Meet cost productivity accuracy and timeliness targets
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
- 710 years experience in Materials Management Logistics or Supply Chain ideally in an industrial manufacturing environment
- Prior leadership experience is required
- Experience in with inventory control is required. Understanding of Lean principles and process improvement strategies is an asset
- Experience managing multiple facilities would be preferred
- Ability to travel periodically across Canada
- Excellent analytical problem solving and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects
