Do you have the strong technical knowledge communications and interpersonal skills necessary to effectively manage assigned staff serving as onsite information technology (IT) support Join our team as an Information Technology Generalist Administrator 1 and participate in the supervision of the General Government Technology Services Office (GGTSO) Help Desk Division reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer of GGTSO. Take your IT career to the next level and help lead provision of excellent technical support for all of the Office of Administration consolidated agencies within the Capitol Complex!
In this position you will be responsible for directing and managing personnel under the GGTSO Help Desk Division. This includes ensuring that your onsite team meets the customers expectations and is available to take calls and work tickets in support of end users within the OA Consolidated Agencies as well as identifying your teams training needs and providing or recommending training for staff members. Work also involves evaluating current and future demand on the network to recommend and justify upgrades and purchase decisions for tools equipment and other resources.
Our team will rely on you to serve as the liaison with service providers business partners other Commonwealth agencies and the Office of Administration for network operational issues. Work includes driving a Commonwealth of Pennsylvania van as needed to facilitate IT support activities. You will participate in the resolution of ongoing and critical issues assigned to your team make decisions on the priority of issue resolutions and interact with other IT functional areas to isolate and identify the cause of the problem and suggest steps to prevent future disruptions.
