3; 12 hour shifts/week: two weekdays & one weekend/week
Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
(Flexibility to work nights on asneeded basis preferred)
Compensation
$23/day shift during the week; $28/day shift during the day per hour weekends

National Youth Advocate Program is partnering with Franklin County Childrens Services to provide mental and behavioral health care and crisis stabilization to those adolescents youth and children who are displaced awaiting temporary or permanent home placements. In this role the NYAP Crisis Intervention Specialist will work with high needs youth with the focus of stabilization 24/7/365. Based at the Columbus OH FCCS offices and under the general supervision of the NYAP Clinical Supervisor or designee you will be an integral contributor of an 8member team providing services and oversite to displaced youth providing onsite crisis intervention deescalation and stabilization services for children who are experiencing or who are at risk for experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Responsibilities
The Crisis Intervention Specialist will perform duties including but not limited to:
Provide live crisis support for those at imminent risk or those in need of emotional support.
Reassess safety and provide referrals for behavioral health and other needed services.
Performs other duties as requested.
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelors Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
2 years of work experience working in direct service with youth and families in crisis is preferred.
Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers smart phones and tablets printers fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing spreadsheet and database programs.
