Role Description
Vanderlande provides its customers with lifecycle services for material handling systems. Maintenance Services on MHS equipment on site is an integrated and important part of our core business as a company. Vanderlande focuses on continuously improving by intense cooperation between all the disciplines within our company together with our customers.
In this challenging role you will serve one of our key customer systems in the Greater Sydney area as an Electrical Maintenance Technician. The system includes high end automated material handling solutions which are critical for the business of our customer. This is an electro mechanical system controlled using lowlevel and highlevel control systems. You will be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance activities during the shift and will ensure that the maintenance activities are delivered in a professional manner.
Tasks may include but not limited to conducting electrical maintenance inspections diagnosing and repairing electrical systems and ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards. Assistance with Mechanical duties is also expected as part of this role. This is a fulltime onsite role incorporating 12hr shifts on a 24/7 roster.
Qualifications
Electrical qualification (Cert III in Electrotechnology) contractor/supervisor licence with at least 3 to 5 years relevant working experience as Service Engineer/Technician.
Industrial controls understanding (PLCs VFDs HMIs Etc. with proven controls background.
Strong electrical background working on industrial equipment with mechanical aptitude.
Dual Trade Certificate (electrical and mechanical) highly regarded.
Experience in logistics postal sorting and baggage handling systems highly regarded.
Position Requirements
Successfully obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card for Sydney Airport.
Criminal checks are required as part of this process.
ID checks will be performed to verify work entitlements in Australia
Fully vaccinated for COVID19
Pass Pre Employmemnt medical examination including drug and alcohol testing
