Job Description
Join our team as an Education Summer Intern!
Are you passionate about history and education Do you enjoy working with children and sharing knowledge in a fun and engaging way If so Deadwood History in Deadwood SD is looking for an Education Summer Intern to join our team!
The opportunity will be 12 weeks May through August of 2025. Monday through Friday including an occasional Saturday.
Compensation is $13.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning and implementation of educational programs for summer youth programs
- Assist with giving guided tours to school groups
- Supervise small to medium size groups of students in grades K7
- Conduct research to enhance educational content
- Communicate effectively with staff students and their families
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited educational program with a focus on education teaching or a related field helpful but not mandatory
- Passionate about fostering a positive learning environment for children
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Experience working with children preferred
