Job Description

Now Hiring for theSchool Year: Special Education Teacher

We re looking for a caring committed and skilled Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. If you re passionate about creating inclusive student-centered learning environments and supporting diverse learners in reaching their goals this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

This full-time position focuses on teaching students with a wide range of disabilities intellectual emotional physical and developmental. You ll play a vital role in fostering academic growth independence and self-confidence through customized instruction and consistent support.

Key Responsibilities:

Track and document student outcomes adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
Foster a positive respectful classroom culture through proactive behavior support techniques.
Participate in IEP meetings offering insights into student progress and recommending instructional adjustments.
Design and implement personalized learning plans aligned with each student s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Work collaboratively with families general education teachers and related service providers to ensure student success.

Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid Illinois teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students effectively staff and families.
