Ochsner Childrens Hospital is seeking a boardcertified Pulmonologist to serve as Section Head in New Orleans LA. The successful candidate will possess proven leadership team building and managerial experience. Areas of administrative responsibility will include practice growth and new program development patient experience physician recruiting budgetary performance productivity quality and medical staff management.In addition to pulmonary clinics the sections four physicians also support multidisciplinary programs including neuromuscular aerodigestive NICU/chronic lung disease and tracheostomy/home ventilator clinic.
Our comprehensive Pediatrics Program including primary care pediatricians and pediatric medical and surgical subspecialists (Ochsner Childrens) represents over 230 physicians. The group is the regions leading integrated provider of multispecialty care for newborns infants children adolescents and young adults. We offer a full range of pediatric complex specialty services including congenital heart surgery and cardiac transplantation liver and bone marrow transplantation a comprehensive surgical subspecialty group and the regions only comprehensive multidisciplinary developmental center.
We recently announced the building of a new comprehensive dedicated Childrens Hospital on our main campus with expected opening in 2027.
We currently care for patients in an expanding 67bed Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit a 14bed PICU a 12bed pediatric CVICU and a 44bed pediatric acute unit with a dedicated pediatric emergency room and fulltime regionwide inhouse pediatric and neonatal transport teams.
In addition to patient care Ochsner Childrens Hospital has an ACGMEaccredited pediatric residency program and is responsible for teaching pediatric residents from the TulaneOchsner Pediatric Residency program as well as medical students from both Tulane and the University of Queensland. Ochsner Health and Xavier University of Louisiana recently announced an agreement to establish a joint allopathic College of Medicine.
