Staff Accountant with Treasury Experience
We are seeking a detailorientedStaff Accountantwith treasury experience to support our accounting department. This role is responsible for a variety of accounting functions including financial reporting reconciliations and monthend close processes while also assisting with treasuryrelated activities such as cash flow monitoring and banking transactions. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles and a basic understanding of treasury operations. This role is ideal for a selfmotivated professional looking to expand their accounting expertise while gaining valuable treasury experience.
Accounting Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Prepare and process journal entries accruals and adjustments.
- Assist in monthend and yearend close processes including financial reporting.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Support external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Assist with budget preparation variance analysis and financial statement preparation.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations in all accounting activities.
Treasury Responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash flow and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Perform bank reconciliations and support banking relationship management.
- Process wire transfers ACH payments and intercompany transactions as needed.
- Support the preparation of treasury reports for management review.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Secret Clearance (pass a criminal background and credit check).
- Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Experience: 38 years of accounting experience with exposure to treasury functions preferred.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles GAAP compliance and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational abilities with the ability to prioritize and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables VLOOKUP).
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience in construction accounting is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Vista by Viewpoint is a plus but not mandatory.
