We are looking to add aFacilities Maintenance Technician to our team. In this position you will be responsible for supporting our Austin facilities including our manufacturing operations. This role has broad responsibilities ranging from maintenance of facilities and complex manufacturing equipment to working with contractors. The Facilities Technician will perform routine inspections troubleshooting and repairs.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform handson maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment including complex PCB manufacturing and test equipment.
- Perform a variety of carpentry painting electrical repair and maintenance duties.
- Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify maintenance needs and potential hazards.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems including HVAC plumbing electrical and general repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Assemble various types of furniture and equipment.
- Participate in preventative maintenance programs for our manufacturing and office and facilities.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of experience working in facilities maintenance
- Any combination of education training and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described.
- Work experience in one or more of the building trades (Electrical HVAC Plumbing Carpentry).
- Familiarity with construction management fire safety requirements and common construction codes.
- Must be computer literate.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Great problemsolving skills.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Knowledge of Environmental Health & Safety laws and regulations and experience supporting EH&S activities.
