About the Role

Doctors Health Fund is an awardwinning leading provider of private health insurance to Doctors throughout Australia. As a part of the Avant Mutual Group we look after the needs of over 50000 health care practitioners students and their families.

As a Member Services Specialist you will play a vital role in contributing to one of the fastest growing health funds. This is a key role within our Member Services team and is responsible for servicing members and meeting members service expectations. We pride ourselves on our personal expert service and providing extraordinary outcomes for new and existing members.

Member Services Specialists are part of our frontline team and therefore need to be knowledgeable on our product process procedures and business rules. You will work in a supportive team and training will be provided.
This role is open to full time. You will have the flexibility to work from home or work from our Darling Park offices as part of our Best of Both policies.

Key accountabilities include:

Deliver high quality accurate information to members
Answer enquiries (by phone fax email or mail) promptly competently and professionally using correct processes procedures and systems
Manage member details and identify member retention growth and service opportunities
Understanding information in relation to the health insurance industry as well as understanding Doctors Health Funds products processes and systems to ensure efficient and effective answering of member queries.
Participating in coaching and training required to keep knowledge and skills up to date

The successful applicant will have:

HSC or equivalent preferred
A friendly and approachable personality and a can do attitude
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including listening and effective questioning skills
Time management customer service conflict resolution and attention to detail
An aptitude to learn with a willingness to be involved and contribute to the success of the company.
