Job Description
Northern Gateway Public Schools invites applications for a Casual Education Assistants throughout the Division in all areas Onoway Alberta Beach Sangudo Mayerthorpe Whitecourt Fox Creek and Valleyview.
Successful candidate responsibilities:
- Provide support to students in an inclusive setting
- Follow the direction of the classroom Teacher
Preference will be given to candidates who:
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children parents and staff
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/school
- Understand and carry out oral and written direction
- Work independently with minimal instruction
- Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
- Respect confidentiality
- Practice professionalism with all students staff administration parents and public
- Are aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures
- Have experience working with young children
- Have an understanding of the teaching/learning process
- Have strong interpersonal skills and patience
- Enjoys working in a team environment
