- The incumbent will be expected to teach courses that may include but are not limited to: The Environment Society and Conservation; Human Biology Lab; Human Biology; Investigative Science; Microbiology; Anatomy and Physiology I & II; Endocrinology Human Biology General Physiology Basics of Life; Organismal Diversity; Cell Biology Laboratory Cell Biology Genetics Laboratory; Genetics; Ecology.
- Instruct courses in varied locations at varied times and via various media commensurate with department and university needs.
- Engage in scholarly research or creative achievement to enhance knowledge of field.
- Provide evidence of continuing preparation and study in the field to enhance teaching abilities.
- Contribute tostudent growth and development including student advising.
- Provide service to the university and community including the program the department the college the university and the greater community.
- Support Winona State Universitys mission to enhance the intellectual social cultural and economic vitality of the people and communities we serve.
Minimum Qualifications
- Earned doctorate or terminal degree in Biology or related field
- Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching
- Teaching experience in biology
Preferred Qualification
- Skills/ability to integrate technology to enhance learning and teaching.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching lectures and laboratories at the undergraduate level
- Demonstrated potential for mentoring students

- The Biology Department at WSU is aligned with NSF PULSE Vision and Change and looks to use creative and innovative approaches to teaching and learning.Recent and future curriculum will emphasize crossdisciplinary learning throughout the sciences.
