Job Description

The Department of Biology at Lafayette College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor position in Biology for the academic year 2025-2026. We seek candidates with a strong commitment to high quality undergraduate education to teach several courses including Biology 111 (the first of our introductory series focusing on evolution physiology and ecology) Biology 231 (Ecology; lecture and lab) plus other courses related to the candidates expertise that fit within the departments curricular needs. Expertise in ecology is required and all areas within that field will be considered. This is a full-time appointment with a 3/3 teaching load and there are no research commitments and no dedicated lab space with this position. A Ph.D. in Biology or related field is required; however ABD candidates with a firm completion date by July 2025 will also be considered.
