You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Resident Activity and Hospitality Assistant(RAHA)role serves to be ready to support the staffing needs in a variety of departments in order to support the residents and staff in daily operations. The individual in this role is a critical team member in engagement with the resident supporting important services and ensuring the environment is safe and healthy for all who live and work in Charter House. Duties may include but are not limited to: functioning independently in transporting/escorting Charter House residents/clients to a variety of appointment needs in a safe timely and efficient manner personal shopping companion service providing basic cares for residents in the care venues engaging residents in small or large group activities individual activities assisting with resident/family visits light housekeeping and sanitization of surfaces. Duties also include assisting with a variety of paperwork related to activity programming. The A/H Assistant provides excellent customer service while establishing and maintaining a professional engaging and helpful relationship with residents families visitors and other Charter House personnel. Responsibilities and duties may vary based on which areas of Charter House the A/H is assigned to work. The A/H has the ability to work under the direction of a Recreation Therapist alongside other A/Hs to perform duties as well as to work independently to fit the needs of the unit. This is a highly flexible and variable role that must be ready to adapt in support of needs identified for that day or longer as scheduled
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. One year of customer service experience and/or geriatrics experience preferred. Requires effective communication strong problem solving and interpersonal skills. Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress. Works varied hours which may include days evenings days/evenings holidays and weekends with rotating days off.
Previous Senior living community hospital or clinical experience is preferred. Previous customer/client/resident interaction roles preferred. Requires good communication and human relation skills to interact with residents/clients family members and staff. Must be able to work independently. Strong problem solving skills are necessary. Must be able to adapt to unpredictable situations and stress. Works varied hours
